These Terms govern the use of the website at www.interpretationlive.com (the "Site") and the ordering of interpretation services from Interpretation Live ("we", "us"). By using the Site or ordering services you agree to them.
1. Services
We provide live interpretation services delivered with the assistance of speech technology under the supervision of professional interpreters, together with related services such as transcripts. The scope, languages, dates, platform and price of each engagement are set out in a written quote, which, once accepted, forms the contract for that engagement together with these Terms.
2. Quotes, booking and payment
Quotes are valid for 30 days. A booking is confirmed when we acknowledge your acceptance in writing. Unless the quote says otherwise, sessions are invoiced by the hour of session with the minimums stated in the quote, new clients are asked to prepay, and invoices are due on receipt. Credit card payments may carry a processing fee of up to 3%.
3. Cancellation
Online sessions cancelled at least one business day before the start are not charged. Later cancellations are charged at the minimum for the session. Multi-day and in-room engagements carry the cancellation terms stated in the quote; travel costs already incurred are passed through at cost.
4. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for providing a working meeting link or venue, reasonable sound quality and the materials needed to prepare the session, for obtaining any consent required from participants for the session to be interpreted or transcribed, and for the lawful use of the service.
5. Nature of the service and limitation of liability
Interpretation is rendered in real time and, however carefully supervised, may contain errors or omissions. Where the law requires a certified or sworn interpreter, for instance in certain court proceedings, you are responsible for ensuring that requirement is met, and we will say so when we believe it applies. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of an engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
6. Confidentiality
Materials and content entrusted to us are treated as confidential, used only to perform the engagement and handled as described in our Privacy Policy. We will sign a non-disclosure agreement on request.
7. Intellectual property
The Site and its content are ours or used under license. Transcripts delivered to you are yours to use.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Harris County, Texas.
