Interpretation Live Book a demo

Frequently asked questions

Is this a real-time service or do you translate recordings?

Real time. Your speaker talks and the audience hears the other language within moments, continuously, without anyone pausing for the interpreter. Recorded sessions can also be handled afterwards if that is what you need.

Who is the professional at the controls?

A working interpreter, in most cases one with decades of conference and technical experience, who prepares the session, listens to both sides throughout and steps in when needed. You can talk to the interpreter before the session.

How good is it?

For prepared sessions with decent sound, good enough that participants forget it is there; our supervising interpreters hold it to a professional standard and will tell you where it falls short. The first booking always includes a test on your own material so that you can judge for yourself.

What does it need from our side?

A meeting link or a room, reasonable sound, and your materials in advance. Online participants need nothing but the meeting; in a room we bring receivers and headsets.

Can several languages run at once?

Yes. One speaker can be interpreted into several languages at the same time, and participants each choose their own. Sessions are priced by the hour, not by the language.

When would you advise against it?

In two situations. First, when the speaker's voice cannot be picked up clearly by a microphone: a walking tour in a noisy plant, a dinner where several people talk at once, a meeting where the speakers are far from any microphone. Second, when the conversation flips direction every few seconds, as in a heated exchange where nobody waits for the other side to finish; every switch costs a moment, and that kind of crossfire is hard on any interpreter, human or otherwise. A chaired discussion where people speak in turn works fine. Presentations, briefings, training, structured meetings and calls where each side speaks in turn are all fair ground, and a short test on your own setup will show you what to expect.

What happens to our audio?

It is processed live for the session. We keep nothing unless you ask for a transcript, and we explain the handling in writing before you book.

How far ahead do we need to book?

Two business days for a standard online session, longer for multi-day events or in-room sessions with equipment. Same-day sessions are possible when a supervising interpreter is free.

Can we try it before committing?

Yes. Book a demo and we will run a 20-minute session on your platform, in your languages, with your terminology.
